COD Men’s Cross Country sends 5 to SoCal Preview

COD had five runners participate in the second event of the 2023 season at El Dorado East Regional Park in Long Beach for the SoCal Preview Meet, where Desert participants finished in 127th, 226th, 252nd and 259th place on the 4-mile course.

Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Long Beach was sophomore Emmanuel Lule (La Quinta H.S.), he dropped 8:12 from his previous season best, collecting a 127 place finish with a time of 23:20.1. Freshman Anthony Perdomo (La Quinta H.S.), dropped 6:15 from his previous season best, collecting 226 place with a time of 31:32.7. Freshman Gabriel Hernandez (Indio Shadow Hills) came in 252 with a time of 31:33.4. Sophomore Matthew Cuanetl (Rancho Mirage H.S.) wrapped up the morning for the Roadrunners, finishing in 259 place with a time of 38:18.9. Freshman Daniel Burkett (Bermuda Dunes Desert Christian Academy) participated as well.

The next event for Desert is at the Coach Downey XC Classic at Morley Field at Balboa Park in San Diego on September 29th at 10:30 a.m.
