COD Softball has a hard time corralling the Wolverines, falls 6-0

COD (3-18; 1-7) struggled in their Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match-up with the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines (12-10; 3-4), 6-0.

Sophomore short stop Taylor Stone (Palm Desert H.S.) went 2 for 3 with a triple in the bottom of the second and sophomore left fielder Yizel Nunez (Beaumont H.S.) also went 2 for 3 on the afternoon. Freshman first baseman Keana Tolentino (Cathedral City H.S.) went 1 for 2 in the nine hole for the Roadrunners.

Nunez started the game in the circle for Desert, tossing two innings, surrendering three runs, one earned, on four hits and walking one before being lifted and moved to left field. Sophomore left handed pitcher Amanda Martinez (Indio H.S.) finished the game with five complete, giving up three runs, one earned, on six hits, walking five and striking out one.
