PALM DESERT, Calif. - Despite having three players score in double-figures, College of the Desert (10-11, 0-2) women's basketball fell to Foothill Conference foe, San Bernardino Valley, 78-63 on Wednesday night in Palm Desert.
Freshman center Ashley Preist (Yucca Valley, CA/Yucca Valley HS) led the Lady Roadrunners with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while fellow freshman, guard Kelcey Beckham (Indio, CA/Indio HS), added 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Freshman guard Reina West (San Jacinto, CA/San Jacinto HS) scored 10 points off the bench for COD, who shot 27-69 (39.1 percent) from the floor as a team.
The Lady Roadrunners travel to Rio Hondo this Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. Foothill Conference matchup.
