PALM DESERT, Calif. -- College of the Desert women's basketball sophomore Leslie Segovia (Palm Desert, CA/Palm Desert HS) has signed to continue her academic and athletic careers at NAIA member, University of the Southwest.

Segovia appeared in 20 games this past season for the Lady Roadrunners, starting nine of them.  She averaged 5.4 points per game overall, while stepping up her scoring output in Foothill Conference matchups with a 7.2 points per game mark.  Segovia shot 41.7 percent from the field, while also averaging 4.1 rebounds per game.

Segovia will be studying Psychology at the University of the Southwest, which is located in Hobbs, New Mexico.
