PALM DESERT, Calif. -- College of the Desert women's basketball sophomore Bianca Gutierrez (Palm Desert, CA/Palm Desert HS) has signed to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Maine at Fort Kent.

Gutierrez played in 29 games this past season, starting eight of them, while averaging 5.1 points per game.  She shot 40 percent from three-point range, which led the Lady Roadrunners.  Gutierrez also shot 38.6 percent from the field, ranking third on the team.

During the 2014-15 season, she appeared in 26 games for the Lady Roadrunners, starting 15 of them.  Gutierrez averaged 6.3 points per game that season, placing her fourth on the team.

The University of Maine at Fort Kent is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), and is located in Fort Kent, Maine.
