COD Women's Golf snags 4th place finish in 2nd OEC event of 2021

COD Women's Golf finished 4th as two golfers tied or set their season best as freshman Demi Preece (Imperial H.S.) led the way with an 86.

The Roadrunners sent five participants to its third event. The heat was on full blast as Desert hosted their first Orange Empire Conference (OEC) event of the season at the par-72 Ironwood CC (South Course) in Palm Desert.

Desert would finish with 384 points, which was 16 strokes ahead of fifth place finisher, Mt. San Antonio. Saddleback would win the event with 321 points.

Preece led the way for the Roadrunners, shooting an 86 and freshman Natalie LeBeau (Desert Hot Springs H.S.) shot a season low 95.

Freshman Daneah Jackson (Cathedral City H.S.) tied her season low with a 99 and freshman Yvonne Pretorius (La Quinta H.S.) shot a 104.

Freshman Mayra Acosta (Thermal Desert Mirage) who shot a 129.

COD will make their next appearance at Costa Mesa CC (Mesa Linda Course) in Costa Mesa on Monday, September 27 as they continue OEC play.
