COD Women's Golf takes 3rd place at El Prado

COD Women's Golf finished 3rd with sophomore Lehapi Veikune Taungahihifo (Rancho Mirage H.S.) leading the way with an 81.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its eighth event, as Desert traveled to their seventh Orange Empire Conference (OEC) event of the season, this time the event was at the El Prado Golf Course (Chino Creek Course) in Chino.

Desert would finish with 365 points, which was 25 strokes ahead of fouth place finisher, Mt. San Anotnio College. Saddleback would win the event with 323 points.

Taungahihifo once again led the way for the Roadrunners, with an 81, which was good enough for 6th place individually and freshman Demi Preece (Imperial H.S.) shot a strong 83.

Pretorius grabbed a score of 102 and freshman Natalie LeBeau (Desert Hot Springs H.S.) shot her second-best of the season, a 99.

Freshman Daneah Jackson (Cathedral City H.S.) shot a 119 and freshman Mayra Acosta (Thermal Desert Mirage) shot a 115.

COD will make their next appearance at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Course in Mission Viejo on Wednesday, October 27 as they wrap up regular season OEC play.
