PALM DESERT, Calif. - Two College of the Desert women's soccer players, sophomores Karla Casillas (La Quinta, CA/La Quinta HS) and Gabriela Lewis (Indio, CA/La Quinta HS), were recently named to the 2015 CCCAA Academic All-State Team.

Recipients of this honor must have completed at least one season of soccer, at least 24 units and have earned a 3.5 G.P.A. or higher. Casillas and Lewis were two of only 32 women to receive the honor across the entire state.
