PALM DESERT, Calif. -- After a successful season on the field, College of the Desert women's soccer has continued to earn the same results off the field, as three of head coach Garrett Estrin's players have recently been named to the 2015 CCCSCA Scholar-Athlete Team.

Sophomore Karla Casillas (La Quinta, CA/La Quinta HS), freshman Sydney Hannibal (La Quinta, CA/La Quinta HS) and freshman Lidia Sanchez (Indio, CA/Indio HS) were each named to this prestigious team for excelling in the classroom.  

  Student-athletes who receive this honor from the California Community Colleges Soccer Coaches Association (CCCSCA) have achieved a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.30 or higher while also completing at least 24 semester units.
