COD Women’s Soccer ends 2017 with tough loss to the Jets, 1-0

COD (4-17; 0-10) concluded the 2017 season on Sophomore Night, under the lights of Boone Field, hosting the San Diego Miramar Jets (6-14-1; 3-6-1) and falling, 1-0.

The sophomore's being honored were: goal keeper Maranda Palmer (Twentynine Palms H.S.), midfielder Yuliana Alonso (Cathedral City H.S.), forward Tiana Kubitz (Cathedral City H.S.), midfielder Analise Anzaldua (Indio H.S.), forward Melita Pena (La Quinta H.S.) and midfielder Vanessa Caudillo (Indio Shadow Hills).

Both teams fought to a 0-0 draw through halftime. Then in the 67th minute, the Jets scored on a deflection off of Palmer, giving Miramar a 1-0 lead.
