COD Women’s Tennis grabs 2nd straight win, shuts out the Comets, 9-0

COD (2-3; 2-3) collected their first shutout of 2018, knocking off Conference foe, the Palomar Comets (0-2; 0-1), 9-0.

In doubles play, the team of freshman Claudia Stepien (Palm Desert H.S.) and freshman Andrea Rapan (Thermal Coachella Valley) won their match, 8-1. The remaining Roadrunners' doubles matches won in a walkover.

In singles play, Stepien, Rapan and freshman Annaya Zubick (Palm Springs H.S.) won in straight sets. The Roadrunners won the latter half of singles play in a walkover.

The next match for College of the Desert Women's Tennis will be at home on February 22nd at 2p, where they will continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference-North Division (PCAC-North) agaisnt the Southwestern Jaguars of Chula Vista. Hope to see you there.
