COD freshman Heather Hinton participated in the fifth and final regular season event of the 2021 season at Xavier College Prep in Palm Desert for the Inland Empire Athletic Conference Championship, where she finished in 5th place on the 5-kilometer course.

Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Palm Desert was Hinton from La Quinta H.S., collecting 5th place with a time of 24:42. With her 5th place finish, Hinton was named All-IEAC and was automatically selected to participate in the CCCAA SoCal Regional Championships.  

The next event for Heather is at the SoCal Regional Championships at Irvine Regional Park in Orange on November 5th at 10 a.m.
