COD freshman Heather Hinton participated in the final event of the 2021 season at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley for the CCCAA SoCal Regional Championship, where she finished in 88th place on the 5-kilometer course.

Grabbing her best time of the season and the top spot for Desert in Fountain Valley was Hinton from La Quinta H.S., collecting 88th place with a time of 22:47.2.
