COD Women's Cross Country Sends 2 to Coach Downey XC Classic
COD had two runners participate in the third event of the 2023 season at Morley Field at Balboa Park in San Diego for the Coach Downey XC Classic, where Desert participants finished in 48th and 50th place on the 5-kilometer course.
Grabbing the top spot for Desert in San Diego was freshman Abigail Yanez (Banning H.S.), with her best time of the season dropping 10 seconds, collecting 48th place with a time of 38:03.2.
Finishing close behind was freshman Alma Guerrero (Cathedral City H.S.), collecting 50th place, with her best time of the season dropping 30 seconds for a time of 40:07.4.
The next event for Desert is at the Chaffey Invitational at Chaffey College (Grigsby Field) in Rancho Cucamonga on October 7th at 10:30 a.m.
