COD Women’s Cross Country runs in 4th event of 2023
COD had two runners participate in the fourth event of the 2023 season at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut for the Mt. SAC Invite, where Desert participants finished in 112th and 114th place on the 5-kilometer course.
Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Walnut was freshman Abigail Yanez (Banning H.S.), collecting 112th place with a time of 37:45.2, finishing 8 seconds faster than her previous best.
Finishing close behind was freshman Alma Guerrero (Cathedral City H.S.), collecting 114th place with a time of 40:00.3, finishing 7 seconds faster than her previous best.
The next event for Desert is at the IEAC Championship at Morley Field at Balboa Park in San Diego on October 20th.
